About
I bring you 16 years of counseling experience, 5 years as a trainer of therapists, and a longer history of meditation practice. I currently teach at a graduate school in San Francisco and internationally in the field of family therapy. Psychotherapy, like other arts, requires extensive training and practice before mastery. I studied with my mentor at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto for 13 years to thoroughly master the skills of family therapy, and have sinced combined it with the latest in neuroscience research and somatic psychotherapies.
By awakening a mindful, curious presence, you and I can create a safe space to heal the difficulties of living. I especially love working with couples to heal their sexual intimacy issues, resolve their fights, and to quell the hurt and anger from past and present betrayals. Children also heal quickly when they feel the support of their families, so I collaborate with parents to help transition their children through periods of depression, anxiety, and anger. I’ve spent the past 5 years training in somatic healing modalities to resolve trauma issues including: sexual abuse, military service, and family violence.
As a Certified Psychotherapist™, I have a healthy respect for the wisdom of my clients. My approach is both compassionate and practical, providing clients with tools for daily life. Clients who appreciate mindfulness-based therapy combined with hypnosis and playful creativity will enjoy our work together.
